The sun plays a central role in the lives at Sunrise Gardens. It nourishes crops, it delivers electricity via solar panels, and it warms their hearts and souls. The farm produces their own compost and adheres to strict soil management protocols. They plant cover-crops in the winter to retain nitrogen in the soil, and in the summer they brew compost teas and produce their own fermented fruit juices to enrich soil microbials. Their goal is to produce the purest cannabis while being gentle on the surrounding environment. Every season they hand-pick cultivars to find the right balance between heritage genetics and new crosses. They even conduct their own pheno-hunts from seeds created right on their small farm. As time passes, they continue working with the love and passion they have always had for the plant and patients.
